I finished these a while ago, but I’ve been backlogged with work, school, travel and volunteering for too many things. The wood comes from a 4×4 post taken out of a Boulevard neighborhood house; the text comes from “The Four Who Spoke Out,” a book my wife took from the Warren Wilson Library some time ago (the free bin, bien sur). They should be moisture resistant, but I’m not positive, though I did send the prototypes of these to a friend and he said that they are wonderful. I’m looking forward to making a few more of these when I get the chance: I want to work in a newspaper theme, you know, the whole dead tree industry (as new media folks like to say). We’ll see. More summer crafts to be posted soon, including wedding pins and tie-clips.
